Maltese Cross style Cufflinks

This is actually not the Maltese Cross, as the Maltese Cross has 8 points, which would be very sharp and probably dangerous if put onto your cuffs. According to Wikipedia, this is a; "cross patt eacute;e" which is a variant of the Maltese Cross. Isn't it lucky that Wikipedia could clear that up for us?
